Latest Update from the Attorney General’s Office
As of 4:18 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, we received a clear explanation from the Attorney General’s office regarding the property seizures.
You do not need to file an amparo, set up a Power of Attorney, or submit any instruction letter unless you’ve been told to do so for a unique situation.
The entire process is simple. You only need to provide a copy of your property deed and your official ID to the Attorney General’s office in either Bucerías or Tepic. They will verify that your home is no longer owned by Dynamica. Once confirmed, your property will be removed from the seizure list.
The process takes about three to eight business days.
What Happens After You Submit
After your paperwork is processed, you might be asked to return to the Attorney General’s office to sign an acknowledgment form stating that your property has been released.
This signature is optional. It helps the office complete their files, but it is not a legal requirement. Some attorneys on site may have said it was mandatory. That appears to be a misunderstanding.
There is no 15-day or 90-day deadline. You can complete this process at any time while the investigation is still ongoing.
Clarifying the Situation
There is no danger of eviction or home loss for people who purchased in good faith.
You are not being investigated. The state is targeting fraudulent developers, not homeowners. Your role is simply to show that you bought your home legally and that Dynamica no longer has ownership.
That’s it. Nothing more is required from most of us.
What About the “Inmueble Asegurado” Signs
These signs were posted as part of a temporary freeze while the investigation plays out. They do not mean your home is being taken or that you’ve done anything wrong.
If your property was developed or sold by Dynamica, this is part of the state’s process to review land transfers.
Can You Do Repairs or Sell
Once your release is processed, the Attorney General’s office will send confirmation to three municipal offices. This will allow you to resume renovations, move forward with property sales, or make other changes.
We’ll share more details about those municipal offices as soon as they’re announced.
What About Filing an Amparo
Some people have filed amparos as a precaution. That’s understandable. But according to the Attorney General’s office, you do not need one unless your property is under individual investigation or you’ve received official notice.
Submitting your deed and ID should be enough to release your home from the seizure list.
Always speak with your own attorney to decide what’s best for you. But based on everything we’ve learned, filing an amparo is not necessary for most homeowners.
Final Thoughts
This process is more straightforward than it first appeared. It’s about correcting fraud from past land sales, not penalizing innocent homeowners.
There’s no urgency and no need to panic. If you haven’t submitted your paperwork yet, you can still do so this year.
If you’re unsure, talk to your HOA or visit the AG’s office with a lawyer.
We’re all going through this together. We’ll continue to share updates and help one another. The more we understand, the stronger we’ll be as a community.
